Sheriff Horse

Sheriff Horse - 16

Recently I was asked to design and build a horse for rock’n’roll outfit Sheriff. The brief was they wanted a horse to be ridden across the crowd by guitarist Tom Watson, at the launch for their new EP ‘Roughhouse Hymns’. As you do…

The launch was held at the Tote recently in the form of a mini festival! A stack of bands (YIS, I Am Duckeye, Bittersweet Kicks, Vice Grip Pussies, Don Fernando, Sons Of The Ionian Sea, Them Bruins and Swamp Moth) across two stages, culminating with Sheriff tearing the joint up to bring it to a head! The horse itself worked out well and then was dismembered by the crowd.

If you’re Melbourne bound you can get yourself a copy of ‘Roughhouse Hymns’ at Thornbury Records, Polyester Records (both city and Fitzroy stores) or Missing Link Records Melbourne. Check out Sheriff’s facebook for details of their upcoming east coast tour.

The horse may have fallen, but keep an eye out for it in the near future, as it rises once again…

In the mean time here’s a few pics and video of how it all came to be and went down…
